My name is Allison Shields, and this was my first year at Providence Day School where I taught first grade and coached the Varsity girls lacrosse team. We won the program’s second State Championship this year!

I have been playing lacrosse for 25 years after growing up in the Baltimore area and went on to play lacrosse for 4 years at the University of Virginia graduating in 2019. I have coached and worked with youth, middle school, high school, and collegiate players. I’ve led youth clinics to develop skills for kids in a fun and engaging way. I was a Director for a travel/club team that competed in top tournaments across the country and assisted girls in navigating the recruiting process if they wanted to play at the next level. I led my previous Varsity team in Virginia to 4 straight State Championship games, winning 2 for the program.

But truly my passion is developing youth players, exposing them to a fun and high paced sport, and sharing my love for lacrosse and all the lessons it has taught me! I will be offering several opportunities this summer and fall for athletes to develop their skills through a camp and drop-in sessions.
